We are! Congratulations to Jerry Petzoldt as this week marks 53 years since he entered the world of commercial real estate, and what an incredible journey it has been! From humble beginnings to becoming a trusted industry leader, Jerry is grateful for the opportunities and relationships built along the way.

His journey began at age 21 when he graduated from Florida Technical College earning an Associate Degree in Architecture and was offered his first full time position as a commercial real estate appraiser. Earning a Florida broker's license and REALTOR membership was an important step that sparked his interest in commercial real estate brokerage. Working in the rapid Florida growth period of the 1970's with over 20,000 new move-ins per month accelerated demand for commercial development properties. Then in the 1980’s the nation experienced a real estate crisis with 21% interest rates where Jerry experienced a totally different aspect of the real estate market. These years of highs and lows have guided his career ever since, propelling him through any market condition with unwavering dedication and passion for the industry.

Meeting a Tennessee girl changed his life and motivated him to relocate to the Tri-Cities area in 1982. It was an exciting time! Inspired and driven to succeed by his Florida experiences by 1996 Jerry founded TCI Group – Jerry Petzoldt Agency LLC. Today, 42 years later, the TCI Group-Jerry Petzoldt Agency continues to grow – supporting and training the next generation of commercial brokers, serving our clients with our experienced and accomplished team of agents, and accelerating our technology and marketing efforts through platforms that showcase our services throughout our region, the US and beyond.
